Databases with Alerting Services | Publishers with Alerting Services
Several databases and electronic journal collections allow you to set up a search profile or have new tables of contents sent to you by email. These notification services help researchers keep up with what's being published on their topic. This page provides links to instructions for setting up profiles for online resources available to the Tri-College community.

Each database vendor has its own interface for setting up your alerts. Go to the database and follow the instructions, usually located under Search History.
AnthroSource Set up a "My Profile", and sign up for tables of contents notifications. You may also save your preferred searches to run later, and/or receive search results daily, weekly, or monthly as email alerts. AnthroSource
CSA - Alerts Help Set up alerts for new items based on your preferred searches or journal titles. Your searches may be run against several databases simultaneously, or against a single database. Searches are emailed on a weekly basis, and contain up to 250 new records per alert. ARTbibliographies Modern

Google News - Alerts Help Receive emails when new items with your search terms appear in online news sources, on the web, or in online discussions. Messages can be sent as new items enter Google, or on a daily or weekly basis. Google News
NCBI - My NCBI help Set up up to 100 unique alerts, based on your preferred searches or journal titles. You can request that alerts can be emailed daily, weekly, or monthly. You can also specify the maximum number of items to receive per message.
Project Muse - Journal Alerts Help Receive tables of contents by individual journal title or by journal group (based on subject area). You will receive alerts when new issues are made available. Project Muse
ProQuest - Search Alerts Help Set up alerts for preferred search terms or for publication tables of contents. Search strategies are very flexible, and include keyword, subject, and author searching as well as document type limits, limit to full-text availability, and more.
