SHORT HISTORY OF MEETING

An indulged meeting known as "Colerain" was established in 1828 by
Fallowfield Monthly Meeting (Hicksite). In 1839, the meeting for worship and
preparative meeting were established by Western Quarterly Meeting; the name of
this meeting was changed to "Oxford" at this time. In 1842, the Oxford meetings
were transferred to Pennsgrove Monthly Meeting. In 1867, the name of this
meeting was changed to "Homeville." The preparative meeting and meeting for
worship at Homeville were discontinued in 1917; their members were attached to
Pennsgrove Monthly Meeting.
