			<head>SHORT HISTORY OF MEETING </head>
<p>A meeting for worship at Galloway was established by 1726 under
Great Egg Harbor Monthly Meeting; a meeting under the care of Haddonfield
Monthly Meeting was probably in existence before that date. A preparative
meeting was established in 1801 by Haddonfield Quarterly Meeting out of a
division of Great Egg Harbor Preparative Meeting.</p>
<p>There is no information about a Hicksite Meeting at Galloway.</p>
<p>The Orthodox preparative meeting was transferred to Haddonfield
Monthly Meeting in 1843. The preparative meeting and meeting for worship were
discontinued in 1865 and their members transferred to Haddonfield Monthly
Meeting. An indulged meeting at Galloway was in existence from 1865 to
				1868.</p>
<p>This meeting is often unofficially referred to as "Leeds
				Point."</p>

			<head>DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE RECORDS</head>
<p>Monthly meeting records normally include minutes of men's and

removals (transfers), and disownments. In general, non-members are not
mentioned in the minutes, even when they attended meeting for worship on a
				regular basis.</p>
