			<head>SHORT HISTORY OF MEETING </head> 
			<p>An indulged Meeting for worship at Colora was established in 1885 by New Garden Monthly Meeting (PA) (O) under the care of West Grove Preparative Meeting (PA).  A meeting for worship and preparative meeting at Colora were established in 1890 by Western Quarterly Meeting under New Garden Monthly Meeting.  In 1945, Colora Preparative Meeting was established as Colora Monthly Meeting.</p>
			<p>When Colora Monthly Meeting was discontinued in 1980, a second Colora Preparative Meeting, attached to West Grove Monthly Meeting, was established.  This preparative meeting was discontinued in 1983.  Currently, Colora Meeting is held from April to November.</p>

			<p>Monthly meeting records normally include minutes of men’s and women’s meetings for business and registers of births, deaths, marriages, removals (transfers), and disownments. In general, non-members are not mentioned in the minutes, even when they attended meeting for worship on a regular basis.</p>

				<bioghist>
					<p>Official records of proceedings kept for all Quaker business meetings. Only Quakers could participate. It has responsibility for care of members, authorizes removals and marriages, maintains discipline, considers the queries, manages meeting property, fosters social concerns, and reports regularly to the quarterly meeting. Beginning at the end of the 19th century, men and women ceased to hold separate business meetings, meeting instead in joint session.</p>
