Biographical / Historical

In 1956, Central Philadelphia Monthly Meeting of Friends was formed through the merger of the Monthly Meeting of Friends of Philadelphia, the former Hicksite meeting, and the Monthly Meeting of Friends of Philadelphia for the Western District, the former Orthodox meeting. Its predecessor meeting is sometimes referred to as Race Street. The meeting is currently active.
