Biographical / Historical

West Branch was the site of a preparative meeting under Centre Monthly Meeting, beginning in 1824. In 1833, the preparative meeting petitioned Warrrington Quarterly Meeting (Hicksite) to be set off as a monthly meeting; the request was granted. It became a part of the Centre Quarterly Meeting at its formation in 1835.

West Branch Friends Meeting began to grow out of unity with Baltimore Yearly Meeting and minuted their concern in 2019, officially disaffiliating from BYM in 2021.
