The Bryn Mawr College Library is sponsoring a one-day seminar on the history of bookbinding in America. The seminar will feature presentations by ten scholars on different aspects of the nineteenth-century American and Canadian bookbinding trades (including two talks on Philadelphia binding companies), and an extended period of discussion on directions for further research in the field. Members of the Bryn Mawr community may attend any of the lectures for free, but must register by Monday, March 5th because of limited space. Registration for the entire day, including lunch, is $25 for faculty and staff, and $10 for students.
