Newton Student Book Collection Competition

We want your submissions for the Newton Student Book Collection Competition!

Don't miss your chance to win prize money just for being the avid book collector that you are!  Applications for the annual Newton Student Book Collection Competition are due no later than this Friday.

Here's what you do: Write an annotated bibliography of your book collection, including no fewer than 25 titles (no textbooks). Book collections should have a unifying theme, such as subject matter, author or illustrator, genre, etc.  Attach a one-page commentary describing the theme of your collection and how, when, where, and why the books were acquired.  Books do not have to be physically here at Swarthmore to be included in the list, although you should own them.

Cash prizes of $500, $250, and $150 will be awarded for the three best student book collections at Swarthmore. Winners will also be invited to exhibit their collection in McCabe Library and be eligible for the Grolier Club Book Collection Competition.  Examples are available upon request; please contact Evelyn Khoo at ekhoo1@swarthmore.edu for more information.
