A. Edward Newton Student Book Collection Competition Results!

This year, there were a total of fourteen submissions and the winners are:

1st: Mai Pucik '06, Identity Crises (and the lack thereof) in Sequential Narrative
2nd: Smita Ghosh '06, Past and Future: A Collection of Bengali Literature
3rd: Elsa Trimble '06, Experiencing Art in the Soviet Union

The winners will each receive $500, $250 and $150 respectively. In addition, the 1st prize winner is eligible to participate in the Grolier Club's Collegiate book collecting competition.

The A.Edward Newton Student Book Collection Competition is the longest-running college book collecting competition in the country. The contest was endowed in the 1930s by A. Edward Newton, a renowned rare book collector from Philadelphia.
