John Anderies, Haverford College
Hi, I'm John Anderies, Coordinator for Special & Digital Collections at Haverford College. Previously I was Music Librarian at Haverford College.
I oversee Haverford's Quaker and Special Collections department and serve on several Tri-College committees, including the Library Web Services Intergration committee (which oversees this blog and the general web presence of the Tri-College Libraries), among others. Some other things I'm working on are issues of digital preservation, online audio access, and digital asset management.
I'm also Chair of the Information Sharing Subcommittee of the Music Library Association and a founding committee member of the Music & Technology Conferences sponsored by the Center for Educational Technology. I'm the author of "Ethel Louise Lyman and the Beginnings of the Indiana University Music Library" (2002) and "The Promise of Online Music" (2005).
I have a Bachelor of Music in flute performance from Baldwin-Wallace College, a Master of Arts in early music performance practices from Case Western Reserve University, a Master of Library Science from Indiana University and have completed Ph.D. coursework in musicology from Indiana University.

Oh, and this is my cat, Bartram. He's a very sharp dresser, no?

John, I've always wondered where you ended up....do you remember me? One of your adult flute students at BW.
Betram looks like the brother of my Bootsy.
If you get this, drop me a line sometime. Hope all is well with you.
Sue
