From Anne Garrison:

The TriCo is participating in a pilot test of  Bob Kieft's Guide to Reference database. As I'm sure you all know, the Guide to Reference is the searchable online version of the old Guide to Reference Books. ALA has asked us all to examine the pilot database and give them feedback in the following areas: content, functionality, usability, and users.I will send out a further e-mail to everyone with specific areas to examine.
In the meantime, please visit http://www.guidetoreference.org and tool around the site. Our libraries should be IP authenticated to do basic searches, but if you want to perform advanced searches, or create, print, and export lists, you will need to create a personal profile. The trial runs until the end of January.
Comments on the database can be made on the GR pilot Wiki: www.publishing.ala.org/GRpilot.
Please let me know if you have any questions!
