Find an example of developmental psychology in the media within the past 10 years (i.e, ranging from 1999 and 2009). For purposes of this assignment, “developmental” means a participant population ranging between birth through adolescence. Your source may include adults as a comparison group, but must have some developmental focus by including infants, children or teens. The source must be available online so that you can include a link to it within your blog post.

You should look for media reports of one or more of the following (but at least one of the following):

• child development phenomenon widely accepted by the scientific community (e.g., attachment, gender stereotypes, sibling relationships, etc)
• a specific research study (e.g., “a new study reports…”),
• an interview with a researcher (e.g., “Dr. So-and-So, expert on Selected Topic, says…”)

Possible sources include:

• Popular magazines or newspapers
• Television, news programs
• Radio transcripts or podcasts (e.g., NPR)

The articles in ScienceDaily are based on "news releases submitted by leading universities and other research organizations around the world" and are based on current research results.  Editors categorize them into relevant subject groups.  Browse recent headlines or search archived stories. 

Use this source to identify recent research studies.  You'll probably want to find more "popular" media accounts in magazines or newspapers that present the information to a lay audience.
