The library catalog of Bryn Mawr, Haverford and Swarthmore Colleges. Depending on the topic you choose, you should find most of the books you need in Tripod. Try searching the following catalogs to get a sense of the scope and strengths (or limitations) of Tripod.

MLA Handbook for writers of research papers
Publisher: New York : Modern Language Association of America, 2003.
The OWL at Purdue
We really like this site; it provides examples of both MLA style and APA style for writers of research papers. Books, articles, websites, and other stuff are all treated differently when creating your bibliography. Find the answers online here, or in print in the MLA Handbook for Writers!
better than Google:
Google Scholar
Use Google Scholar to find scholarly books and articles on the internet. If you search Google Scholar from a computer at Swarthmore, it will automatically provide an option to access the resource through Swarthmore if it is available. Look for the Find It @ Swarthmore link!
