Internet Archive
The Internet Archive is a non-profit organization that is building an Internet library, with the purpose of offering permanent access for researchers, historians, and scholars to historical collections that exist in digital format. The Internet Archive includes more than 300,000 texts, as well as audio, moving images, software and archived web pages. A good source for books printed in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, including many travel accounts.
Google Books
Online library of more than a million books digitized from the collections of Harvard, Stanford, Michigan, and many other university libraries. The complete texts are available for books in the public domain - principally books printed before 1923. A potential source of published travel accounts from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

JSTOR
Provides full-text and page images from many of the top journals in most academic disciplines. Coverage is from the inception of the journal through three to five years ago.
Bibliography of Asian studies
Provides citations to journal articles, book chapters, conference proceedings, anthologies, and Festshriften on all subjects pertaining to East, Southeast, and South Asia. Covers 1971-present. Complete citations end with the 1991 records. Since 1992, newly published books are no longer being added.

This online resource contains nearly all of the reports, documents, and journals of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. Provides primary source material on all aspects of American history, including relations with China. Complete through 1933, and will eventually go to 1980.
GPO monthly catalog
Includes citations of U.S. government documents, including: Congressional reports, hearings, debates, and records; judiciary materials; and documents issued by departments in the Executive branch including the departments of Defense, State and Labor. Covers 1976-present.
British Government Publications
The Tri-College libraries have long runs of the proceedings of Parliament. In addition, the Irish University Press has recently published large collections of 19th century reports to Parliament, organized around specific topics (colonies, crime, etc). Many of these collections are either at Bryn Mawr or one of the other Tri-college libraries.
