In creating this site, the author, the Director of the Center for History of Physics of the American Institute of Physics (AIP), has continually updated the content. A good comprehensive site on many aspects of climate change, including climate and society, climate data and influences affecting climate.

Carbon Dioxide Information Analysis Center - Oak Ridge National Laboratory

CDIAC is the primary climate change data center for the US DOE. According to the website: CDIAC's data holdings include records of the concentrations of carbon dioxide and other radiatively active gases in the atmosphere; the role of the terrestrial biosphere and the oceans in the biogeochemical cycles of greenhouse gases; emissions of carbon dioxide to the atmosphere; long-term climate trends; the effects of elevated carbon dioxide on vegetation; and the vulnerability of coastal areas to rising sea level.

Energy Information Administration - US DOE

Access to domestic and international energy consumption and production; overviews of petroleum, natural gas, coal, and electricity, as well as carbon dioxide emissions from the use of fossil fuels, petroleum prices, energy reserves, and population ; and data unit conversion tables.

Greenhouse Gas Emissions statistics - EPA

2007 Inventory of Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Sinks

Prepared annually by EPA, the national greenhouse gas inventory report presents estimates of U.S. greenhouse gas emissions and sinks for the years 1990 through 2005. This report also discusses the methods and data used to calculate the emission estimates.
