AOAC International is involved in the validating and approving analytical methods for food and agriculture.  The latest edition of Official Methods of Analysis of AOAC International (OMA), 18th edition contains methods of dietary supplements, food, beverage, agricultural, microbiological, pharmaceutical and environmental analyses.

AOAC has a contract with the USDA to support the National Food Safety sSytem biy establishing an online database of analytical methods for the analysis of foods.

The U.S. Interagency Gray Literature Working Group, "Gray Information Functional Plan," 18 January 1995, defines gray literature as "foreign or domestic open source material that usually is available through specialized channels and may not enter normal channels or systems of publication, distribution, bibliographic control, or acquisition by booksellers or subscription agents."

The GrayLIT Network provides a portal to more than 100,000 full-text technical reports located at DOE, the Department of Defense, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Collections in the GrayLIT Network include DOE’s Information Bridge (also currently available through GPO Access ), the Defense Technical Information Center’s Report Collection, EPA’s National Environmental Publications Internet Site (NEPIS), NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab Reports, and NASA’s Langley Technical Reports.

With access to 47 million pages of government science information made available form 12 government science agencies, this is a useful first-stop. up-to-the-minute searches are conducted against multiple databases without the user having to know which agency contains the desired information. The most relevant sites are pre-selected and many documents are searched in fulltext.

Google Scholar has convinced many publishers to allow their robots to index their sites. As a result, many articles can be found and are ranked by the prominence of the author's and journal's previous papers, how many citations it already has, when it was written, and so on. Look for the new link on the upper right for "Recent articles" -- or switch to "All articles" for the full list. Click on Group of X link to explore multiple ways of getting the fulltext article you need.
