This multidisciplinary database can be searched by subject, author, or journal title. Articles that cite a known author or work can also be searched. Cited reference searching helps identify more recent articles on the same topic. Coverage for Science Citation Index now covers 1955 to the present.
AnthroSource
Provides full text articles from American Anthropological Association journals, newsletters, and bulletins. Covers 1888-present.
Full Text Journal Collections:
JSTOR
Includes full text of several key journals in ecology, botany, history of science and many other subjects. Coverage is usually from volume 1 to five years before the current date.
BioOne
Full text of over 60 key research journals in biology, ecology, and environmental sciences. Covers 2000-present.
Off-Campus Access:
To use our databases and full text journals, simply go to the LIBRARY HOME PAGE and select off-campus access. After entering your email username and password, you'll have access to our electronic resources, no matter where you are.
InterLibrary Loan & TriCollege Borrowing:
If you want to get a book or journal article that we don't have available in our library, you will need to use Inter-Library Loan (ILL).
Tri-College ILL - BOOKS: If you want a book from Swarthmore or Haverford, simply press the REQUEST button at the top of the Tripod screen. Enter your name & barcode, and select WHERE you want to pick up the book. Delivery takes approximately one day library to library.
Non-Tri-College ILL - BOOKS: For books NOT available in Tripod, try E-Z Borrow and request books directly from nearby Pennsylvania & NJ libraries. Books usually arrive within a few days. If the book is not available via EZ Borrow, try regular InterLibrary Loan. (Use Worldcat to get complete book information).
JOURNAL ARTICLES: For articles in journals not available at Bryn Mawr, use the online ILL form.
