Bible, lacking conclusion of prologues and beginning of Genesis; conclusion of Psalms lacking. Text resumes with Proverbs.
Illuminated Bible on vellum contains 140 inhabited and historiated initials and lacks seven of its illuminated initials. It is decorated with red and blue flourishes.
The specialized theological texts at the end of the volume as well as the Canon of the Mass suggest that the book was made for a clergyman.

There is one illuminated initial with border on fol. 39r. The other missing leaves probably had similar decoration & were excised by collectors or book dealers to sell to collectors.

Penitential Psalms - with prayers at beginning & end; prayer at the end mentions "famule tue .N. et Iohanni famulo tuo...." N. means nomen/name. It suggests that the MS was done for John with an eye toward a future marriage.
